Aloha Gang......I hope you all are in good health and spirits today......Yesterday was a winning day for me as I posted a
4W-3L= +2.64 Units.. So far for the week, we have gotten our record back into the positive, but just slightly at
5W-5L= +.59 Units. Today, lets build upon this positive and extend our units won from the man with this card.......Look out, as were about to get this Party Started in a Wild-n-Wacky Way!
**TOP 3 UNIT PLAYS ON:
Texas -122
-Ok, I know I said it time and time again, that I wasnt going to back thIS Korean Kream Puff as he cost me to much money.....but under these circumstances, w/ this price, facing this team w/ this pitcher, I have to squeeze my Ass and back him....Oh Boy...lol!
TB has gone 0-6 in all of Gonzalez's starts this year.......These 6 losses makes it 10 straight losses for the Devil Rays going back to last season, with Gonzalez on the hill......When will TB realize that this guy might be better as a closer than a starter......Based on this 10 game losing streak, how can I not back the Ranger's today.......I mean, they only bring to TB the Majors best hitting team with an average of .302, and also are 2nd in the league in HR's with 43.......10 of them HR's btw, coming off of TB's starters in the Ranger's 3 out of 4 wins vs the Devil Rays.....The Rangers are also on a bit of a roll winning their last 8 of 11 games....
TB, on the other hand, is the worst hitting team with a .234 average in the AL.......They also have scored the fewest runs (104) in the entire league. Before I back this TB squad this year, they will have to get their Offense together......Today unfortunately, like last night, they will fall short again....
Colorado -120
-Pitt's Offense starts with Raul Mondesi, and his absence was a reason why I backed off of playing them last night......Well, they still won without him, but that one win doesnt make me so convinced that they have learned to live without his influence.....not yet anyway......Yesterday Pitt had an impressive day at the plate, but like I stated, I am not yet sold that they will be able to consistantly duplicate it......
Pitt is just 1-6 in their last 7 overall.....The Rockies are 5-2 in S.Estes last 7 starts on the hill......Colorado is stroking RHP's at home averaging a very solid .308 vs them.......Pitt, on the other hand, is justt hitting a poor .217 overall vs LHP's.....In Pitt's last 10 games, this average have fallen even further to .206.....Not good!
Milw -107
-Why do I like this one?....Well, one reason is because the Brewer finally got that Monkey off of their backs with that win last night......Now I am expecting them to go back to playing more relaxed but focused ball......But the main reason why I like this one is because of the Expose road woes, that is still alive and well.....For me, I have decided not to back them any time soon when they travel......The Expose are only 4-15 on the road and still struggle at the plate vs RHP's, averaging just .239 vs them away from home.....The Expose overall are the worst hitting team in the League averaging just .222.....Milw's bats, on the other hand, in their last 5 games seem to have found their target posting these totals in hits over this span.....16 hits, 11 hits, 12 hits, 11 hits, and 10 hits....
**2 UNIT PLAYS ON:
St Louis -164
-Morris on the year has a record of 3-3 and an ERA of 3.86, but he has not beaten the Braves yet, going 0-5 vs them in his career.....Still his losses vs the Braves wasn't primarily all his fault as he did average a 2.14 ERA in his last 2 starts vs them......It was the Card's Offense and its lack of run support that cost him several wins, after several solid outings....
Hampton for the Braves is another one who hasn't posted a win also......Only thing is, it is this year where he has yet to get a "W".......So far Mike Hampton has an ERA of 7.67 and is struggling especially on the road where he is 0-2 w/ an 9.43 ERA in his last 3 starts.....Today Hampton should again struggle vs these bats of the Card's......I see the Card's lighting Mikey up and sending him packing early again......The Braves Offensively are struggling and scored just 13 runs in 6 games......Which is also another main reason for them losing 5 of their last 6 games.....After today, you can extend this losing streak to 6 of their last 7 games......
Detroit +120
-I like Jeremy Bonderman today to continue his undefeated record of 2-0 w/ ERA of 1.38 vs his former team the A's......This year Bonderman has been solid posting a 3-1 record and he has been backed up by the solid hitting of the Tiger's Offense....Today, the Tigers 11th ranked hitting team should be able to get to Harden and should prevent the A's from posting, yet again, three winning games in a row...
Minny +106
-Radke is solid and so is Garcia.......this one is being played in the Metrodome where the M's have dominated the Twins.....but I like the Twins in this one, as the M's are still slumping and still letting games slip on by.....Not much to brag about in having good starters, if you still lose in the end.....
**1 UNIT PLAY ON:
Angels +180
-Worth a shot with the leagues Hottest team, who has a very solid, if not the best BP in the Majors......The Angel's let one they should of gotten slip away last night.....and today I feel that they will be that much more focused on getting it done this time....
**Ok Gang, I may have a play on the WS game up after I get more info on the O's pitcher......I will also have my late night plays up a little later on in the day for all who are interested in them......For now, lets do some damage with these BAD BOYS....Lets stay positive and focused on this Wild-n-Wacky Wednesday........Good luck to All today and LETS GO GET EM! ALOHA CC...
